Dear Sir or Madame,
I am writing to inform you that I have lost my credit card.
To begin with, I assume I should describe the circumstances that led to the loss. My family was having a vacation abroad. The holiday was an ideal one and everything went as I planned. Our departure was scheduled on 29th Mach 2017. We paid our bills by the plastic card and then we were delivered to the small local airport. All of a sudden I realize I forgot the card on a receptionist’s desk. I made a phone call to the hotel and a member of staff agreed to send the card to me by DHL express service. So, when my spouse and I arrived home, a delivery person was waiting for us with an envelope in his hands. I paid the bill and took the package. However, when I opened it, I figure out the sent plastic visa belongs to another person.
Consequently, I lost any hope to return my property and decide to contact you to cancel the card because I am afraid it can be used by criminals to steal my savings. In addition, I would like to say it is a pleasure to be a clientele of your financial institution because your Visa card has been accepted by all restaurants, hotels and department stores I have every visited overseas. So, may you issue for me a novel card?
