The bar graph compared occupations were selected by English citizens in the two sexes in the year of 2005.

Overall, there were two preference trends on occupations that were chosen as white color workers accounted for almost three-quarters of all people while the rest of the list was separated into blue color workers or the other career.

Looking first at the white color workers trends, the proportion of skilled trades shared the biggest gap in both genders with about 18 percent. Besides, the total of men interested in managers and senior officials was higher than the women, which was nearly equal to 6 percent. Next, a similar pattern was seen on professional and associate professional and technical by both genders due to the difference in their choices, in the range of 10 to 15 percent. In detail, administrative and secretarial attracted more women than men, especially the percentage of females in this aspect reached a peak of roughly 22 percent. Furthermore, the percentage of men in sales and customer service were similar to Administrative and secretarial since the figures for women who passionate about administrative and secretarial as their occupation was almost exactly half of the time as that of sales and customer service.

Turning to blue color workers trends, the share of process, plant and machine operatives that men were the dominant genre, accounting for above 10 percent while the percentage of the females was about 4 percent. On the other hand, the proportions for both sexes in Elementary were relatively evenly distributed at about 12 or 13 percent. Finally, there was nearly 15 percent in the percentage of men in personal service and the number of women made up only 3 percent.
