Dear Sir,

I am writing to express my disappointment at the condition of an old historical building “castle of Tipu Sultan” which is located in Lahore on the Canal Road.

It is 700 years old and bears a historic value since it is a representation of unity of Muslims of that time. It was a place where all Muslim were gathered to make preparation for war against the Hindus and later after the war was won, it was used as a place for celebration.

Its condition, now, is extremely pity since most of wall have hone week due to deep and long crack propagation, and paint on its walls has gone rough. Its halls, in addition, are covered with dust and pits of birds, especially pigeons who are settled inside of it.

In order to maintain it, some proactive measures are needed. Firstly, maintenance of weak walls, which includes crack filling, is required. Almost all of the castle, secondly, needs paint, so heavy duty paint is essential as most of its walls are open to sun radiations. Washing of fort and cleaning of the nests of birds, finally, ought to be done which will result in the removal of dust and smell from it.
