In general, the population of online users showed an upward trend from 1997 to 2001. Moreover, it is clear that most of the users on online platforms were English speakers in 2001. Also, according to the given pie chart, the second-highest proportion of spoken language is Japanese.
It is clearly seen from the chart that the number of Japanese speakers is about one-fifth in comparison to those who speak English with 8.9% on its own. On the other hand, the lowest proportion related to Dutch speakers which are 2.1%. furthermore, an increasing pattern can be seen between the numbers for other language speakers from 2.6% for Portuguese to 8.8% for Chinese.
Moreover, looking at the table, a drastic change can be seen between the percent of online users from 1.8% in 1997 to 8.4% in 2011.
