The pie chart shows the popularity of different takeaways food in the UK, while the bar chart shows the increasing number of Indian restaurants between 1960 and 2015. Overall, Chinese and Indian foods are the most popular takeaway in the UK, and the number of Indian restaurant rose steadily during these years.
The pie chart shows that Chinese food is the most favorite takeaway with 34%. Indian food is in the second place with 26%. After these two popular takeaways, Italian food accounts for 10% of favorite takeaways in the UK. British food, with 9%, is three times more popular than Thai food. Greek, Japanese and Mexican foods are the least favorite takeaways with 1%.
Having said that, Indian food is the second most popular take away in the UK. The bar chart shows the number of Indian restaurant increased during this period, from 500 restaurant in 1960 to almost over 9000 restaurant in 2015.The greatest increase was in 1990,about 3000 restaurant during 7 years. The highest number of Indian restaurant is in 2009.Since 2011, the number has not changed much.
