On a recent holiday you lost a valuable item. Fortunately, you have travel insurance to cover the cost of anything lost.
Write a letter to the manager of your insurance company. In your letter
• describe the item you lost
• explain how you lost it
• tell the insurance company what you would like them to do
Hello Sir/Madam,
I am writing to inform you that my laptop has been stolen while on vacation to India, and I am very much devastated with the loss.
The laptop was silver colour, with apple’s logo on the top. It was in a backpack which also had the charger and the mouse in it. It was a gift from my parents and it means a lot to me. Mostly, I use this laptop for my personal and some-times official purpose.
While I was travelling from Delhi to Mumbai in a train, which was very crowded, I kept my bag on a fellow passenger’s seat. Well, when I woke-up the next morning I could not find my bag at the place where I kept it last. However, I had filed the police complain (please find the complaint copy attached with this letter), but still I feel the chances of getting it back is quite low.
I would like you to please consider this letter as an application for the insurance claim for the product. I have to buy a new laptop because that is the only source of communication for me as I am in another country. Although, I have attached all the required documents which was mentioned in the website, but still if any other information is required feel free to contact me, my contact information is given in the letter of address proof.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Yours faithfully.
