There have been several complaints about the reception area where visitors to your company arrive. Your manager has asked you to suggest how the reception area could be improved.
Write a letter to your manager.
In your letter
• describe the complaints that have been made
• say why the reception area is important
• suggest how the reception area could be improved
Dear Abc,
I am writing this letter regarding the complaints made by visitors about the reception area over the past few weeks. I had personally viewed all the complaints and wanted to suggest a few ideas to solve them.
Firstly, as a marketing company, it is expected that daily multiple officials from different countries visits our office. Hence, reception area should be like a welcome page that summarises the office ethics and work quality. It also requires a waiting area where visitors can sit and relax before they start their work.
But most officials visited our company have complained about the reception area’s seating arrangement which is very narrow and have only 4 chairs. Also, some officials complained that it is lack of business magazines and marketing information booklets. Some visitors expressed their dissatisfaction about the refreshments like water and coffee.
Finally, after scrutinizing all the complaints, I suggest you to rent the area besides the reception and expand it. It is good if you can increase the seating arrangements from 4 to 12 (3 in each group) with magazines and marketing booklets. Arranging a coffee machine in the seating area could be beneficial too.
Hoping that suggestions will be considered.
Your sincerely,
Harsha Vardhan
