Write letter to along time colleague that you will not be able to attend his/her good bye party.
-Why you will not be able to attend
-How you enjoyed working with her/him
-How you will keep contact with him/her
Dear Puja,
I hope you are doing well. I was shocked to know that you are leaving us. Last week Brian told me that, you found a new job and next week is your last week at work. I am already worried that you are leaving us, and I already start missing you just by thinking that you are going away.
I am feeling really bad to tell you that, I will not be able to attend your goodbye party next week. I have an important appointment with my Dentist next week so, I could not make it. Anyways I will see you after also since, we live nearby.
It was always fun and enjoyable working with you. We always worked in a team and you are always helpful whenever I face any problem at work. I will each and every moment we shared together and our coffee talks.
Though, you are leaving the work, but I am happy to know that you found a better job which suits your degree and the job which you were dreaming for from long time. I will contact you through mobile and social media. I wish you all the best for your bright future.
Yours truly,
Preeti
