Write a letter to your neighbor about the damage that occurred to your car while he was parking his car in the lane outside your home.
In the letter, you should:
describe the damage
say how you feel about this problem
suggest to him what actions he should take.
Dear Mr. Khan,
I am writing this letter to complain regarding the damage of my car, due to your negligence, right in front of my house.
As you already know that early this morning, you hit my car badly and broke completely the rear side of it. The rear bumper is out of shape, and it cannot be refit on the car. Also, back lights severely damaged owing to the impact. The former is still affordable; however, the latter is barely in my budget.
I would like to express my frustration in this regard. Recently, I carried out the overhauling of my vehicle and since then I was taking great care of it. This maintenance cost me a great deal of money. As you have been driving a car for quite a while, I believe it might have happened accidentally.
I would request you to pay for the compensation because my vehicle does not have any insurance. Estimate for it has been taken and it would cost around USD 5000 for replacement of both bumper and lights. Cost estimation is attached to this letter.
I am looking forward for your quick response in this matter.
Yours sincerely,
Salman Khan
