Writing Task 1 (a letter)
Write a letter to your neighbor to say goodbye, as you decided to leave the area and move to a new home. In your letter say
– Explain why you are moving.
– What will you miss the most?
– Invite him/her to your new home.
Dear Jay,
Hope this letter finds you well. You have been a great neighbour and any family like your company as their neighbours. Me and my wife leaving this apartment and going to move in new city Pune, as I was offered with a very good job in one of the MNC and I don't want to miss this opportunity. I want to personally say Goodbye to you through this letter.
Thank you so much for being very friendly and thoughtful neighbor. You made us feel welcome in the neighborhood when we just transferred here and you have become very good friends of ours. We have enjoyed several years of our stay in the town because of you and we are so grateful. We will miss the each moment we spend together and each festivals and occasions we celebrated together, especially I will miss the Hyderabadi Biryani cooked by your wife. I am going to throw a house warming party and I would love you to come. It will be on the 5th of July and starts at 7 pm. We will have dinner together with my other friends.
Hope to see you on that day. If you cannot make it, you are always welcomed to come another time.
