Dear Rose,

I am writing this letter to inform you that I will be moving to Singapore for further studies. I am planning to get a masters degree in Human Resource. Since, I have applied for a full time course, I will be free on weekends. It's a two year program and will give me a better understanding in Human Resources. Once my results are out I will apply for the course.

In addition, to completing my studies I am looking to get a part-time job. However, this will be the first time I' ll be living on my own and I need to be able to pay my own rent and bills. Additionally, Singapore is also an expensive city. Currently, I'm looking out for a weekend job as I will have some time to spare. I can also gain some experience in the interim. This will further help me, when I complete my studies and start looking out for jobs.

Could you kindly help me in finding a job? Since you have been in Singapore for almost two years now, you might have a better idea about part-time job opportunities. Also, since you too worked part-time while studying could you please put in a word for me. It will be my first international trip and I am looking forward to meeting you.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Your Friend
Katie
