You feel that the streets around your neighborhood are too dirty and have too
much rubbish. Write a letter to the local council. In your letter, you should:
• say who you are
• explain the problem and its effects on your life
• give suggestions on how to solve the problem
Dear Sir,
My name is Paul Smith. I reside in 4th road, Juhu. I am writing to inform you about the streets around my neighborhood which are too dirty and unhygienic.
Everyday too much of trash is dumped by the local people without caring about the hygiene issues. This is because of less number of dustbins on the streets. There are street hawkers and other people making it miserable for the neighborhood residents to live. In spite of several warnings, they do not tend to change and continue their daily business on the street. Moreover, this has increased number of illness in the locality and I assert that, I may fall sick too. This is only because of unhygienic conditions around the area.
I request you to kindly take necessary action on this muddle as it may give rise to more ill people in and around the community. Many residents have shown interest to protest against such people. However, we would like your participation as well. Residents have decided that along with the concerned authorities will create public awareness around the neighborhood for hygiene and eco friendly environment. At the same time, would request you to have more dumping dustbins around the neighborhood so that the garbage doesn't come out of the pit. This will help to create a clean and healthier society. Lastly, removing street hawkers will also play a vital role to avoid unhygienic condition around the area.
Looking forward to hear from you.
Yours faithfully,
Paul Smith
