You have just spent a week with a friend on holiday. When you got home, you realised you had left your wallet there.
Write a letter to your friend. In your letter:
Thank your friend for the holiday
Explain that you left your wallet in their house
Give them instructions of how to send it back to you.
Hey Neha,
How are you doing? It was a great pleasure being in London with you and your lovely family last week. I am still in the holiday mood and don’t want to come out of the British zone. However, it’s our job which always reminds us about the reality. Had not been an emergency, I wouldn’t have bothered you at all. Actually, I have forgotten my wallet at your home. You might think, how one can be so stupid?
Anyways, thanks a lot for the unforgettable moments of my life. It was a wonderful and cherishing journey and experience all together. I hadn’t seen the internal beauty of London in this way.
On returning, I checked my schedule and got to know about my upcoming seminar where I will be giving a speech on neural networks. It’s a kind of crucial for my career and the invitation card required for this is left at your home in my wallet.
I am fortunate that my one of the friends travelling to London this weekend. Could you please have a conversation with him and handover the wallet? It would be really great if you could manage this. I don’t want to be in more trouble by courier facilities or something else.
I’m extremely sorry if you will have to cancel your weekend plans for me.
Lots of love,
Aparna.
