You have organized to go on holiday with your friend. However, you must change your plans.
Write a letter to your friend. In your letter:
1. Tell them how much you are looking forward to the holiday.
2. Explain why you must change your plans.
3. Suggest alternative arrangements.
Dear Assad,
Hope this letter finds you in the pink of your health. I am writing in reference to inform you of a change in my plans for the upcoming holiday. I know you will be disappointed to hear this news about this last minute change in plan but let me explain the reason.
To elucidate I was looking forward to this vacation as it was a much awaited one additionally we would have enjoyed each other’s company. my body also needed some rejuvenation as I have lately been stressed out due to a lot of work. Although the holiday plan was almost set my manager has resigned from the company last week on short notice so for the next couple of months I have been requested by my company to take over his role and responsibilities thus have to cancel my plan.
Hence I would suggest planning a long vacation towards the end of June as the company would be able to find a suitable replacement by then which would reduce the work pressure.
I look forward to your response
Cheers
Ben
