You live in a room in college which you share with another student.
However, there are many problems with this arrangement and you find it very difficult to work.
Write a letter to the accommodation officer at the college. In your letter
describe the situation
explain your problems and why it is difficult to work
say what kind of accommodation you would prefer
You do NOT need to write any addresses.
Begin your letter as follows:
Dear Sir or Madam,
Dear Sir or Madam,
I would like to complain for the arrangement of sharing room with another student.
I have been sharing my room with another student since a month ago. While I expect a quiet room for concentration of my study, my roommate intermittently produces noise and plays music which is unacceptably loud, causing me fail to study at my room.
Having reflected my dissatisfaction to my room mate, I have not seen any improvement but aggravation. My room mate does not reduce the noises made but instead continue producing it even at midnight. Subsequently, I have to stay in the library for all day long. Worse still, I could not even sleep at night due to the loud noise, which is completely detrimental to my health.
Hence, to avoid such problem, I sincerely request moving to a single room as soon as possible to guarantee a better study and accommodation environment. Your swift response would be much appreciated.
Yours faithfully,
Daisy Johnson
