You own an old item that you think is valuable and would like to sell. Write a letter to the owner of an antiques shop.
In your letter
• explain how you found the shop
• describe the item that you would like to sell
• say how much you would like to sell the item for
Dear Sir/Mam,
My name is Rehana Diwan and I am writing this letter about an ancient product which I own, want to sell.
Luckily I got your reference from one of my best friends who has been not only having relation with you but also your veteran customer. Last night we were just gossiping and by chance, we landed on antique products. Ultimately he referred me your name.
Well, I have an almost 200 years old currency coin. If I talk about its look then it is incredibly beautiful as well as having the best condition, means it looks like new one. Perhaps, this was used by Mughals when they were ruling. It contains half gold and silver and it has magnificient carving which makes this coin unique in terms of soberness.
Indeed, this is the precious coin, so I would like to sell it for Rs. 25,000/-. Although I can get a higher rate somewhere, I would like to sell to you because you are my friend’s friend.
Hope you will like this offer and look forward for a positive reply.
Yours faithfully,
Rehana Diwan.
