You recently attended a meeting at a hotel. When you returned home, you found you had left some important papers at the hotel. Write a letter to the manager of the hotel. Say where you think you left the papers. Explain why they are so important. Tell the manager what you want him/her to do.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to seek for your help to retrieve my highly confidential and important documents that I accidentally left at the Orchid hall, Sheraton hotel during the APEC summit yesterday.

It would have been a great event with thoughtful arrangements from the hotel until I felt bumped out because of my forgetfulness. After the meeting with all the regional delegates from ASEAN countries, I was in the hurry to the next meeting at another venues. Hence, I did not have time to check all the documents that I had with me. As soon as I reached my office, I realized that I left my black folder with my name one it - Mr.John Smith about the summit's itinerary and upcoming schedule on the table in the hall. If these documents are not with me, I would not be able to attend those following up activities of the event in the next few days.

Therefore, it would be much appreciated if you could help me a hand to get back these papers as soon as possible. I believe some ushers of the event would have found the folder and returned it to the Lost and found section of the hotel. Please do not hesitate to let me know any updates regarding this matter urgently and look forward to your reply. Thank you in advance!

Your faithfully,
John smith
