-Thank your friend for their letter
- suggest some ways your friend could improve the situation
- offer some encouragement

Dear Clara,

I received your letter regarding your office trouble, sorry to hear that you are having a difficult time in getting along with your co-worker. I understand this is stressful situation, but I am sure there is a solution for every problem.

First of all, thankyou for sharing your problem with me, I assure that I will help you in every way possible. Let us examine the scenario and try to find some ideas to solve this tiff between you and your colleague. One way I think would work best is communication with him directly, as you informed me that half of his work was transferred to you, he might feel that the company does not find him competitive enough and in turn is taking his anger out on you. Invite him for a coffee and initiate a conversation and put forward your good intentions. Another way in which you can improve the situation is by involving him in projects, since you both are in same department, spending considerable time may clear his perception about you.

Do remember that no problem is big enough that it cannot be solved, try some yoga for your inner peace and be cheerful and courageous as you have been always.

Hope to hear the good news from you.

Warm Wishes
Jane
