Your friend's dog has recently passed away. Write a letter to console your friend. In your letter:
1.Express your sympathy
2.Include memories you have about the dog
3. Invite your friend to do something with you

Dear Harry,

I’m so sorry for the loss of your dog ‘Tommy’. I am aware that you must be going through lots of pain and I hope this letter helps to ease your pain, as I am not available there to be with you in this tough time.

Yesterday, your sister called me and informed me about this sad news, I was flabbergasted. I wanted to be there with you but I am out of town so I couldn't make it to the funeral. I started feeling blue after knowing that Tommy is no longer with us. My deep condolences to you and your family.

I vividly remember last summer, when we went on a trip with your family and your dog. It was amazing as we had immense joy. I spend my entire time playing with Tommy.
I still remember when I lost my bag and he sniffed it out and helped me to find my bag. It’s hard for me to believe that I won’t be able to play with him anymore.

I’m coming back home this weekend, so we will meet at my apartment and will do some activities to cheer you up. I can understand, I can’t fill the void which has caused Tommy's death but you have to move on and I'll be there for you to help you out. May my condolences bring you comfort and his gentle soul will forever remain in our hearts. May he rest in peace!

Looking forward to seeing you soon.

Yours truly,
Krishna
