In the contemporary society, technology is being utilized in various fields, in particular education. While there exists a notion that this propensity could result in sedentary lifestyle, others view that it will personalize the children's learning method from the early age. From my perspective, I hold the latter opinion because it assists both teachers and students in approaching to rich learning resource, which enhance their understanding of the subjects.
On one hand, computers in classrooms may lead to addiction uncontrollably and have a negative impact on children's physical health. As the computer consists a wide range unsecured websites by anonymous, it is understandable that children are not aware of it and therefore misuse them. More seriously, if they have a curiosity about interesting advertisements of getting money by play online games, there is no denying that they are at risks of social evils. Additionally, excessive screen time can lead to various health issues, including eye strain, disrupted sleep patterns, and sedentary behavior. Children and adolescents, in particular, there is a likelihood that they develop these problems if they spend too much time on computers.
In contrast to the notion above, opponents of the outcome of technology argue that adaptive learning software and intelligent tutoring systems can tailor educational content to the needs of individual students. This personalized approach helps students learn at their own pace and address their unique learning challenges, ultimately enhancing their understanding and memory of the material. Another merit of computer is that they provide access to a vast array of educational resources, including multimedia presentations, simulations, and interactive content. These resources can make learning more engaging and facilitate a deeper understanding of complex subjects.
In conclusion, although the integration of computer in education has some drawbacks, I believe that it is essential to address the challenges and concerns associated with this trend to ensure that the benefits are maximized while minimizing the negative consequences and this increased use of computers in education has the potential to revolutionize the learning experience positively.
