Discuss the challenges and opportunities that your community has been facing as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Nowadays, the Covid-19 pandemic has taken over the world; people are dealing with numerous difficulties.
As a result of the pandemic, my community has been dealing with many challenges. The pandemic causes many difficulties to society. People are in isolation; thus, they cannot learn or work generally. Cases are increasing every day; people are afraid to take part in social activities. Indeed, the pandemic leads to social distancing, intending to prevent themselves from being tested positive. Many factories are closed down and the business is slowed down, which causes unemployment. Education is slowed down due to the pandemic. Thus, students have to stay home, studying through Zoom or Google Meet. They cannot communicate face-to-face with their teachers, which decreases their comprehension of the lessons. Taking tests at home will be a disadvantage for students. Furthermore, the pandemic affects students' mental health. Students are isolated from society by the pandemic, and this will cause serious problems such as depression and anxiety. Moreover, the Covid-19 pandemic also causes an acute economic recession. The widespread Covid-19 pandemic gives rise to the lack of doctors as well as medical equipment.
Albeit arduous, the pandemic gives us the opportunities to be sympathetic and agile. Due to the pandemic, people have more time for leisure activities. Also, through this pandemic, people can learn to be empathetic towards each other. For example, funds are created to help homeless people and abandoned children. Besides, the community and the government will unite to deal with this disastrous pandemic.
