Essay topics:

Many museums and historical sites are mainly visited by tourists but not local people. Why is this the case, and what can be done to encourage more local people to visit these places?

It is true that most people visiting museums and historical sites are tourists, but not local citizens. This problem happens because of some reasons, and the governments should come up with some solutions to it.

To begin with, the residents are not interested in visiting these places, which is caused by several factors. First, many people think they already know about their own country’s c
ulture, history and tradition. This leads to a waste of time to gain the same knowledge. By contrast, tourists are often attracted by collections of ancient objects or artworks in museums during their trip to a new place. Furthermore, there are more interesting activities to do than a trip to these destinations. Due to providing a range of leisure facilities and activities, parks and entertainment centres make people feel more excited than a tour during historical sites.

There are somes actions which need to be taken to solve this problem. Firstly, the states should host regular events and demonstrations such as concerts, festivals, which is attractive to local people. Secondly, it is necessary for the governments to use social media channels to drive visitors to these historic places. This can be done by creating a fan page on Facebook, which allows residents to share their experiences or their feelings about these places. As a result, it would encourage many people who have never been to a museum to come.

In conclusion, there are several causes of a lack of local individuals visiting museums, and this issue could be addressed by some effective solutions.
