In many parts of the world, women still suffer from domestic violence.
What are the causes of this problem?
What solutions can you suggest?
Women have always played an important role in society and they’re getting more appreciation thanks to gender equality. However, in many corners, there are females who are victims of domestic violence. To my mind, family abuse is a serious crime that results from several reasons and needed immediate solutions to protect females.
In general, the impulses to domestic violence are complex and varied. The abusers often desire superiority and surveillance over their targets. This extreme dominance can be caused by mental illness. For examples: childhood trauma, anxiety, depression,... Another reason is the belief of patriarchy still has a huge impact, especially in countries with outdated conceptions. Male plead on the power of male chauvinism to defend their narcissist, empathy shortage as well as to misuse their female beloved. Last but not least, poverty is the culprit that brings up tremendous stress on a family which leads to the issue. Besides, it obstructs abused to escape toxic relationships or obtain legal help.
Family abuse needs to be eliminated for the good of females. Directly help victims by sympathizing with her confidence and be ready to rescue the sufferers would reduce the mishandling rate locally. In addition, collaboration with domestic violence shelters, schools or media can educate people about the consequences, how to intervene safely and the signs of mistreatment. These signs include jealousy, discouragement, physical, mental and sexual torture,… and can be easily identified as soon as these appear in a relationship.
In conclusion, we need to take serious action to retrieve justice for abused.
