It seems clear that obesity in today's society is to some extent due to the availability of fast food. Should governments place a tax on fast food to reduce the amount of fast food consumed?
many attributes happiness to solvency. While money up to a certain level may be an element for someone to become happy, as it is essential for fulfilling the basic needs of humans, in my opinion, it is not the most important factor. There are more significant aspects of life, such as love and social security, that contributes to happiness.
love is essential for living a contented life. people deprived of love from their near and dear ones are often the people create anarchy and unrest situation in the society demonstrating their frustration in life, even if they are well off. For example, a recent research paper shows that most of the youths involved in severe criminal activities, such as murder, mugging etc., are drug-addicted and have insulated lifestyle, many of whom are from affluent families. This clearly shows that, even if you have enough money, proper love and care are imperative to live a quality life.
Another important element of life is a sense of social security. if people don't feel that they are not secured in their society, money hardly gives them a peaceful mind; it's rather the opposite. For instance, a businessman often will think about the safety and security for himself or herself as well as for his or her money.
In conclusion, although in the contemporary world one can't be happy without a handsome sum of money, satisfaction in life can not be achieved without love and social security. Above a certain level, more money can only bring luxury, that doesn't necessarily mean happiness.
