Many people charge admission fees while others are free. Do the advantages of charging people to visit a museum outweigh the disadvantages?
Museums are a source of great knowledge about the past, different artifacts, and other types, So, A visit to a museum is undoubtedly one of the most interesting ways to delve in to and discover the history, however, in some countries, there are entry fees for a visit despite that some are free. In this essay, I will discuss both the views and their negative and positive sides although in my opinion museum should be chargeable so that overcrowding should be avoided.
Firstly, charges during entry deter the overcrowding and only those people will come who are interested to gain something from the museum, Secondly, the collection of money should be used for maintaining the museum, for renovation and cleaning. So, the charges are important to the overall development of the museum. Although funding is required to maintain valuable items as well to assign duty staff and hence this is the only source of collecting money. For example in the UK there are many museums is closed due to the UK banned the funding.
Second, if we are analyzing the flip side of the coin there are negative aspects, First, the resident people they discouraged with this point, and only tourists will visit and that will also deter the interest of the people in artifacts. Second, if it's free more people visit there and may damage the expensive things and it is very tough to handle overcrowd and may tourist lose interest. A huge slash in funding affects the museum's development.
In conclusion, charging fees are advantageous while without fees it will cause lots of drawbacks, So, in my opinion, minimal funding should be applied at the entry-level so that only genuine people visit,
