You stayed at your friend’s house when you attended a conference in Australia. Unfortunately, you left a large envelope with some important documents in your room. Write a letter to your friend. In the letter:
• thank your friend for the stay
• describe where you left the envelope
• ask him/her to return it to you by post
Dear Jay,
I hope that this letter finds you in the best of health and spirits. I’m writing to let you know that I’ve left some important documents in your room. I’m very thankful for the support that you provided by letting me stay at your home during the two-week conference in your city. You and your family members are so welcoming, I can’t thank enough for the love and care you gave during my stay.
What is more, I’ve left a brown envelope in the cupboard which is situated in the corner of your room. I don’t remember exactly whether it’s in the second or third drawer. As the envelope contains my educational documents, which I brought as a proof of eligibility to attend the conference, their importance can’t be denied.
I would like to suggest that please send the said envelope by the International Courier service to my home address which is mentioned on the envelope. Don’t forget to send the tracking id as it’s the only way to locate documents.
I will wait for your reply.
With best regards,
Sara Khan
