Essay topics:

Some students prefer to take classes where they frequently interact with their classmates and professor. Other students prefer classes where they just listen to lectures. Which do you prefer? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

There are many different kind of students and some of the prefer to just visit a lecture on listen to the professor without any interaction. But I enjoy interacting with my fellow students or professors and prefer lectures that contain this social component because of the following reasons.
Personally, I think it is much easier to stay motivated threw all of the semester to attend every single lecture if you need to interact with the people sitting in the same room. For example, I met my best friend Tom, in a math lecture because the professor told us to exchange about the way we would solve an equation. From that day on I was exited to go to the math lecture because I knew I would meet Tom, and it would be great fun. So if the professor never had ask us to interact i probably never would have met Tom.

Also I believe, that learning by answering a question from the professor or repeating the things you listend to too the person next to you is way more efficient than just follow the lecture. For example it can result in a different way you approach a problem if another student shows you how he delayed with it. In contrast, you only will only get to know your own and the professors way to handel the specific problem.

And last but not least, I am a practical learner. With practical learner I want to say that I need to use the information the professor presents me in his lecture in some kind of way to really understand and remember them. For example I once had a programming lecture and I could not understand how a specific code should work after the professor showed me how to write it. The pure lecture was to theoretical and I could not see the point in all of the commands. But after I needed to write the code by my self to solve a specific task I understood the way how it worked.
To summarize, I personally prefer lectures with interaction because it it easier for me to stay motivated and understand the content.
