Education plays an important role in our lives. There are several ways to be educated, one important way is to attend universities that provide all students with a huge information. Some people believe that universities should spend money on the professors' salaries to improve the education quality. Others do not. Personally, I completely disagree with this statement. I feel this way for two important reasons which I will explore in the following essay.
First of all, spending money on the professor salaries will not benefit the students. The students need more facilities that help them to take the advantage of education. Take my son as an example, he is a freshman and when he moved to the university, he was surprised by all the advanced facilities there. He has an advanced computer lab, in addition to a huge library that contains a lot of up to date text books. He usually likes s to go the gym, so he will be able to exercise frequently. All of these facilities will benefit him a lot. Few weeks ago, he had a Science project. He was able to find all the data he wants in his huge library. Sometimes, he needed to stay in the computer lab to finish his research paper. In addition, going to the gym helps him to relieve all of his stress and in turn, helps him to study better and concentrate more on his studies. As you can see, students benefit a lot of having advanced facilities in their universities and spending money on the professors' salaries will not offer them any benefits.
Moreover, the universities will make a big mistake by spending money on the salaries of the professors. Some professor will not be honest on their teaching. I faced this issue when I was in university. In my country, I attended a private university. The university thought that by increasing the salaries of the professor, the professor will work harder to teach the students. On the other hand, one of my professors did not care at all about his students. He did not spend any time to teach us, he just wrote some information on the board and the pages that we have to study, then the homework. Thus, the universities that care a lot about the salaries of the professors will not help to improve the education but this will encourage professors to be careless.
All in all, I believe that increasing the salaries of the professors is not the best way to improve the education's quality. This is because it is more important to provide the students with advanced facilities and because this may encourage some professors to be dishonest.
