Imagine that you are in a classroom or a meeting. The teacher or the meeting leader says something incorrect In your opinion, which of the following is the best thing to do?-Interrupt and correct the mistake right away-Wait until the class or meeting is over. say nothing
It is very often while attending a class or a meeting, people may find that what speaker states in inaccurate way or with some errors. Even though some people agree to give correct answer right away or others hold the opinion that it is better to say nothing, I believe that it will be better to wait until meeting or class get over. I feel this way for some reasons which I will explore in following essay.
First of all, it seems quite rude to speak during the lecture especially to correct someone mistake in front of many other people. For example, if teacher is talking about the another group of creature which is mammals, but she start to describe about reptiles, So correct her mistake is important because maybe students could misinterpret the teacher and thinks that teacher has not knowledge about this topic. If student correct her mistake immediately then it seems rude to teacher, because she does not know her mistake while teaching. This could be sign of student's impoliteness.
Secondly, People can more time to explain their point to teacher or leader, because after the end of the meeting on people are there to disturb them. After the end of the meeting there is a enough time to give the opinion. This is because it will seems professional to leader, and this is how his self respect will be maintained. People can get chance to share their ideas and learn something new from the leader. People can make a good impression in front of leader, and it may be useful for them in future.
Finally, to say nothing will may have bad consequences. People should always be ready for the tell the truth. Sometime say nothing will be more dangerous than say something. For example, in meeting of cost of project, one person know that there is a mistake in calculating the cost, but he cannot give his opinion due to having respect for his seniors. This may lead to big loss of company.
By the way of conclusion, based on the arguments explored above, I am of the opinion that it is better to correct leader's fault after the end of the meeting. This is because it looks polite to leader and his feeling may not be hurt.
