Although it s a new technology solar energy provides benefits to the entire world First solar energy eliminates our reliance on non renewable fossil fuels Additionally solar energy is non pollutant which makes it better for everyone Finally there is almos

Both the reading passage and a lecturer support the idea of transitioning to a renewable energy sources, solar energy in particular. Professor elaborates on arguments made in a reading passage.

First benefit described in a reading is an ecological aspect of solar panels. While we rely on fossil fuels today, amount of oil and natural gas is diminishing due to the high consumption rate. Professor mentions that in order to produce a solar panel humanity still needs to use fossils, but he also mentions that electricity generated by such a panel during it lifespan far outweights the amont of energy needed for it's production in the first place.

Another advantage mentioned in the article is absence of side-effects during solar panel usage. In contrast to high level of noise and fog generated by current energy sources, solar panels are completely silent and don't produce any harmful effects on surrounding world. Lecturer also mentions ecological benefits, but he extends his arguments to mentioning that alternative energy sources are privately held due to the process of privatization. This means, that solar panels in particular aren't a waste of money, despite high costs needed for an initial installation, mainly because owners will enjoy the long lifespan of their operational cycle and freedom related to their usage.

Final argument made in the passage is cost benefits. While one-time purchase is beneficial, professor goes further by mentioning other financial benefits, like the possibility to sell overgenerated electricity to energy companies, as there is a high chance that amount of energy generated by such a panel will exceed the needs of their owners. Another financial incentive mentions by lecturer is tax benefits which are provided by governments in order to facilitate transitioning from fossil fuels to alternative energy sources.

Taking into account arguments made by author of the text and by professor during his speech, it seems evident that solar panels must become a new norm in terms of how society should generate electricity it needs.
