However, the narrator refutes this theory by asserting most people think that genetically modified crops are not safe to consume. Last but not least, the text explains buyers will get the opportunity to buy fresh broccoli from the local market due to harvesting and cultivating it in the same region. In this regard, they will get minerals and vitamins from that fresh harvesting broccoli. On the contrary, the speaker again opposes the theory and describes that people can obtain the same nutrient and vitamins from other green leafy vegetables such as kale. Thus, people should focus on vegetables and fruits which are already available in the local market instead of investing a huge amount of money as well as energy in the new breeding technique of broccoli which may not have a 100% survival chance.
