dinosaurs are endothermal or not
The article is about the endotherm animals, which maintain their body temperature constant irrespective of environment temperature. In the article, the author states that all the dinosaurs earlier were endotherm. However, the professor disagrees and claims that this is not true and she explained every point made by the author.
To begin with, the author stated that their dinosaur fossil has been discovered in the polar region and only animals who are capable of maintaining temperature can live there. The professor disagrees with his opinion and states that there are possibilities that fossils are found in the polar region but that long ago those polar areas were warmer, and no endotherm lived there, and when the winter hits there dinosaurs could have migrated to a warmer area.
To carry on the author states that endotherm has leg underneath the body and so do dinosaurs. The professor sees flaws in this and states that, yes, it is true that dinosaurs have underneath legs but they have a different purpose here, that is for support. As dinosaurs have a large body and to support that cumbersome wait legs were underneath the body.
Another point made by the author is that the Haversian canal is another characteristic point of endotherm. In this, the professor states that yes they have a Haversian canal but in parallel to this they also have a growth ring and that gives the true evidence of their non-endothermal character. While analyzing the growth ring of dinosaurs it was found that it does not grow during winter whereas the other endotherm's growth ring changes as per season to maintain temperature.
