The lecturer was against the idea that dinosaurs are endoderm, and she claimed that by giving several counter arguments to the reasons given in the passage. Firstly, she argued that the reason of found in polar area is not necessarily explains the endodermness, since the weather was warmer when these animals were living. Also, she argued that dinosaurs might migrate to other warmer places just like today’s animals do. Additionally, she points out they would hibernate during the winter period. Secondly, she stands against the idea of leg positioning causing lack of physical activity such as running. And she supported her idea by providing another reason for having shorter legs, indeed, this type of body supports the weight of the dinosaur, so they can carry more weight, which results from their evolution. Third, the lecturer accepts that dinosaurs have haversian canal, but this structure would be an enough evidence to support, and she explains that these animals had growth rings that are not varying, which indicate that the growth is not affected by the environment. Usually, for ectoderm animals, these rings would be thinner in colder season since the body temperature drops and body growth is reduced.
