The reading introduces problems the archeologists was faced through this period. The lecturer brings up the rules that the government set up to face those problems.
First, the author argues that many artifacts get lost through these constructions. On the other hand, the government set a rule for constructions company to ask the officials to examine the area before starting the building.
Second, the writer says that archaeologists do not have enough financial supports for their researches. However, the government forced the construction companies to pay for archaeologists' examinations if the investigation in the first step was successful.
Furthermore, the writer asserts that due to the few demands for archaeologists' skills, the number of expertise was few. But because of these new rules, many people attend to be an archaeologist.
