huge houses of Chaco's people
The reading passage states that the settlements of Chaco were notable for there huge houses with contains hundred of rooms that were for several mysteries used. However, the professor in the lecture casts doubts on the points made in the article.
First, considering the reading that those kinds of buildings were for hundreds of residents to have been living in there. In contrast, the professor contradicts the idea and further explains this reason and talks about the inside of houses that not so suitable for living and do not have enough fireplaces for hundreds of residents.
Second, the reading claims that maybe Chaco structures were used to store food supplies like grain maize. Admittedly, the professor in the lecture justifies the information presented in the article and makes the points that there is no evidence during an excavation in the houses and scientists not find any big counter for food storing.
Third, the author in the reading passage puts forward the idea that maybe the houses were used as ceremonial centers. In the same way, the speaker validates the idea and adds that there are not many facilities for such these ceremonies and there are just few staffs in some rooms.
To sum up, both the writer and the professor hold conflicting views about huge houses of Chaco's people. It is clear that they will have trouble finding ground on this issue.
