The author states that installing the glass window in the building has severe impact on birds life. Birds cannot able to find out the differences between glass and open air, because of that reason large no of bird population are harmed every single year. Moreover, the author posits the three reason to solve this problem. However, the professor clearly denied the solution presented by author giving the three reason which is totally opposite with the author's view point.

First, The author mention that replacing the regular glass and installing the one-way glass helps to minimize the harming of the bird by colliding in the window. But, the professor rebuts this idea by saying that the one way glass also reflects the same as the regular mirror and the bird on the outside does not able to figure out. Because of the reflection bird figure out that there is may be tree or sky and try to flew over their.

Secondly, The author explain that people should start to paint colorful stripes on their regular window glass. If they use stripes in the window and the bird easily see the stripes and try to avoid to fly their. On the other hand, the professor refutes the opinion of the passage because if people open the window , bird think that there is hole and try to fly their. In addition, he says that if color would not paint in the window then people will not be able to see inside because of darkness.

Third, The passage argue that artificial magnet should install near the building that helps to bird find out their direction. HE further mention that , according to the research, bird can easily find out the direction like people use campus to figure out the direction. On the contrary, the professor totally disagree with the statement by saying that installing the magnet would not work to decrease the build harming. He further mention that bird only use the direction for the long distance travel to find out the way to fly. Bird does not use the direction sense for the short distance. They only use their eyes and brightness for the short distance. Because of that reason installing the magnetic equipment near the building would not be fruitful.

In this way, the professor totally refutes the all not applicable reason mention by author in the passage.
