The reading and the lecture are both about buzzing, which is kind of advertising strategy that hire people who used their product and let them introduce their goods. The author of reading belives that this method should be banned because it is too controversy. The lecturer casts doubt on the claim made in the article. He thinks that there is misleading about this advertising and people have wrong attitude.
First of all, the author of reading passage point out that people want to learn whether a person praising a product is being paid to exaggerate the product. This point is challanged by the lecturer. He says that this method is not ordinary and people want to know actually a person used this product, but he gives an example of phone servis. He says that when he use phone server and appriciated, he advice it to other people and earning money from them is not the point.
Secondly, the author contends that when a individual learn a person who prasing a product and earn money, they do not likely to belive them. The lecturer rebuts this argument. He notes that people do not belive everything that they hear and they try to learn all detail. He eleborate this by mentioning that when he says I am very please my phone server, people ask him a number of question about its price, how long he has been using and so forth.
Finally, reading states that buzzing brings about social problem over society because people start to not trust each other and it causes dishonesty. The lecturer, on the other hand, posist that this belief is ridiculous and it is funny to belive that it causes destruction over civilization. He puts forth the idea that indeed this method is favor of society because people learn positive and negative side of any product and change their purchase decisions. Moreover, firms change their product to sell more and make profit.
In conclusion, the lecturer effectively casts doubt on all of claims and theories presented in the reading passage.
