It is more enjoyable to have a job where you work only three days a week for long hours than to have a job where you work five days a week for shorter hours.

Even though a five-day working schedule have been existed for a long time, some other proposals regarding to workdays arrangement are been talked about: either to work three days a week with long working hours each day, or a five-day work with less time for leisure and relaxition. When facing these two options, the latter is definitely more preferable for me for the following reasons.

The primary reason is that working five days a week, instead of three days, reap benefits to the health of people, including physical health and mental health. Initially, by working five days a week but with shorter rest time, a regular routine suitable for the body can be set, and a regular lifestyle is an indespensible element to keep healthy; in contrast, working for long hours each day usually lead to feelings of diziness and exhaustion, causing headaches and other choronical pains. In addition, a five-day working schedule reduces stress levels. To be more specific, To have five days for working means to have less workload each day, so there is no need to worry about the coming deadlines, which by contrast, could probably bring about too much pressure if all these tasks had to be done in three days.

What's also worth mentioning is that not only a five-day working plan are better for one's healthy, but it also benefits the companies in terms of working efficiency improvement by making less mistakes and save more time. First, people who work five days are less likely to make errors. To assign projects and tasks into five days means that there is more time for employees to check for errors and reflect on their daily work; this advantage, however, can hardly be gained if a three-day working plan is adopted, because as discussed before, people who work long hours are under a lot of streess, thus the possibility of making mistakes increases. Furthermore, for working people, the less average hours people work each day, the more time they can save on correcting those mistakes, increasing working efficiency. Instead, how could it be possible for people who work only three days a week to make no mistakes and to maintain working performances?

In sum, the option of a five-day working plan is much more reasonable because it is better for both the emplyee and the company.
