Even there are a lot of useful languages, I think that it is good to them to learn my native language as Spanish is one of the most spoken language around the world so it will bring a lot of benefits as you will can communicate with the people who speaks it, more over in South America and Spain.
On the one hand as its one of the most spoken languages of the world, it is very useful for travelling and business. For example the communication will be more fluently so if you get lost while travelling or you have a complain with a business partner or if you want to find new business partners opening new branch offices in South America or Spain, it will be easier to communicate and negotiate with them .
On the other hand it will be easier to get in touch with different cultures as speaking Spanish will let you understand different things of each South American culture, even more with the people that lives in no so global cities such as little towns or in the forest and mountains. For example you can learn about Bolivian’s, chilean’s and colombian’s culture as you spend time with the locals. Also
Although, you have other languages that are globaly spoken such as English where for example it is easier to find information if you look for it on google in English or it is easier to find studying programs in other countries taught in English as a foreign language than in Spanish. And it is easier to find someone who speaks English as a second language more than Spanish.
In conclusion learning Spanish has a lot of benefits that will help them in different situations and also to has a different point of view from South America and Spain.
