The lecturer refutes this point by saying that in online programs it’s really up to a student whether to interact with the professor and another interaction is done in the form of emails, chats or even by telephone.
Secondly, the author states that online programs are not as difficult as their on-campus counterparts and some courses are so easy that students completed them online in one weekend. However, according to professor online courses have greater difficulty level and some students from online programs also claim that the difficulty level is much higher and requires more discipline. Furthermore, from online programs, students learn how to manage technology.
Finally, the author mentions that top universities do not offer online degree programs and still need that graduate students complete an on-campus traditional program. online programs are not suitable for students who want a graduate degree from a top school. The lecturer, on the other hand, posits that even the top universities offer online degree programs. For example, Princeton University provides some of its university programs online and claims that an online degree program is no different from a traditional campus program.
