Planet Pluto lost its position in the list of planets
The explanation was about declaring Planet Pluto as dwarf planet, also it is demoted from the list of the planets. Although reading explain plausible reasons of eliminating this planet form the planet list still listening explanation present contradict explanation of this decision of removing Pluto from the list and its effect.
Pluto was discovered in 1930, the size of Pluto was declared similar to Earth but later research reconcile its size information and announced the size of Pluto even smaller than Moon and many other moons. That’s why it is honored as dwarf planet. Less number of votes compel constellation of astronomers to reach the decision of detaching Pluto form planets list. But unhappily the voting done by International astronomers union council for reaching this decision was not appropriately carried out due to that only 10% voting was done in the favor of Planet Pluto to secure its place.
Secondly, as half of the astronomers were not present to vote in the conference hall resulted into scantily vote for planet Pluto. Electronic voting would have been better and convenient option of collecting vote, also it would have helped Pluto to gain fair numbers of votes in its favor.
One of the reason given for removing Pluto form the planet list is, it has other object around it and other similar planet like Eris also possess larger size then it, on the other hand reading describes that many planet like Saturn, mars and Jupiter also has planetary objects around them that’s why this reason is not sufficient to declare Pluto to be not qualitative enough to meet criteria of planet.
This unpleasant news was accepted by people also the fact that coming generation would learn only 8 planets. On the flip side, listening describe the disquietedness among people due to Pluto’s detachment from list of the planets, Also People in New Mexico ,filed petition against this decision of astronomers and declared 13 march as Pluto Day .
All in all Pluto was loved by the people of the world and its elimination on the basis of inadequate rationale is not cherished.
