Salty land is going to be erected. So we build up some solution. But proper logic will remove solution as it is unrealsitic
The article states that the Salton Sea in California is turning to a massive salty intake land, a burning question in the town and it provides three potential solutions. However, the professor explains that these reasons are entirely unrealistic and infeasible and refutes each of the author's reasons quite comfortably with proper logics.
First, the reading claims that desalination method is a sophisticated contrivance. In respect of it, water from the lake will be pumped and heated in order to evaporate into steam and others materials dissolved in the water. As a result, salt will be extracted. Though it seems a perfect way, turning to the other side of the logic, the professor refutes this point by saying that desalination method will create serious health hazards. Here it's referable that solid materials fallen after evaporation disperses everywhere in the air. Therefore, when people breaths, polluted air will trigger setbacks as it is clogged. This substantiate that the logic based on the solution is half-dead solution which can’t be taken.
Second, the article posits that creating a dilute salt by dint of 20% less salty water from the Pacific Ocean can easily reduce the extent of salinity. However, the lecture says that by far it is one of the most immature steps to be perceived. Besides, in order to mixing pacific water into the lake,1000km long pipeline or canal is to be installed which is very onerous to setup and maintenance. Moreover such pipeline needs huge amount of money that the local government lacks to attain this goal. So, this short-sighted pondering is a one kind of hoax in the perspective of the reading.
Third, the reading says that lake's salinity can be minimized by constructing walls to separate the lake into several sections. Which is why, the main and largest section salinity will be lessened and eventually it will direct all fresh river water to flow into the main section of the lake. On the other hand, the professor is in the reverse opinion about this point. He clearly says that geological activity like earthquake and other natural calamities easily bamboozle it and make it ineffective. For instance, every year, more often than not, earthquake attacks into the section of the waterways as well as land. In the similar pattern it will annihilate the section wall undoubtedly and the overall project will go in vain. In consideration of this concept, we easily understand this semi-solution is not a satisfactory to grab our exact outcome.
