Students are more influenced by their teachers than by their friends

The article states that Torreya taxifoha started to die out in the state of Florida, where they were common in once and provides three ways to address the decline of Torreya. However, the professor contradicts that none of the solutions which is provided by the passage isn't satisfactory and refutes each of the author's methods.

To commence with, the reading suggests reestablishing Torreya in the same location in which it thrived for thousands of years. On the other hand, the lecturer opposes this point by declaring that this strategy is unlikely to become successful. She believes that Florida has become dry in recent decades and Torreya can't flourish anywhere within this state.

Second, the author avers that one option is to move Torreya to an entirely different location, far from its Florida microclimate. Nevertheless, the professor disputes that it can have some terrible consequences. She makes an example of the same situation. When scientists moved one kind of tree to a new habitat, it spread very quickly and killed off many of the native vegetations and forced them to become extinct. As it is obvious, moving Torreya to new lands can have some unpredicted outcomes.

At last, the reading expresses that we can preserve Torreya in research centers. Nonetheless, the lecturer refutes this point by saying that it is not a suitable solution because trees can resist diseases when they become large and diverse. Although these conditions are provided in the wild forests or habitats, research centers are not able to do so. As a result, when the trees are moved to the monitor environment they are not capable of surviving diseases.
