TOEFL T P O 1 - Integrated Writing Task
A cumpulsary law forces companies to let their employees to work one day less in case they want it, for 80 percents less salary.
The passage agrees with it because of three reasons which the professor totally disagrees with them, first of all he says that it will forces companies to pay more money. For instanse they must train new employees, or they have to pay medical payments for all employees regardless if they work four days or five days in week and also the company should prepare offices and computers for new members of staff.
About the quality of doing job, the article claims that when employees work four days per week they would have better outcome because they are more aware and also the company has more people to do the responsibilties, but the professor believes that when some employees work as four-day, the companies would not encourage to hire new staff as he mentioned before, so the four-days employees will feel more pressure to do their job in a shorter time, which means leads them to have more mistakes and less comfortablity in their job.
At the end the professor talks about the future of four-day employees which is not stable in critical situation because they will be the first options to be fired comparing to five-days staffs and also he says that they would not have a bright future in their jobs since the companies would put them in the lower priority of promoting, because the companies management prefer to have a five-day manager who work more, somone who keeps in touch with his job in maximum days in a week. So it will brings four-days employees to a not ideal personal life.
