TPO-03 - Integrated Writing Task Rembrandt is the most famous of the seventeenth-century Dutch painters. However, there are doubts whether some paintings attributed to Rembrandt were actually painted by him. One such painting is known as attributed to Rem

The reading and lecture are both about the comparing the women's painting with Rembrandt's original painting.Where as the author of the reading states that the painting is not a original painting of Rembrandt , the lecture suggest that the painting is of Rembrandt. The lecture casts doubts on the main point made in the reading by providing three reasons.

First of all, according to the reading, painting has a in consistence with the dressing style while the Rembrandt was always aware about the consistency of the dress. However, the lecture disputes this point.
She says that the analysis of the color is same as of the Rembrandt. Furthermore, she mention that there was added a color in the painting to increase the value of the painting as it was 100 years old.

Secondly, the reading states that there is the difference in the light and the shadow in the painting.Nevertheless, the lecturer refutes this argument. She argues that there was the reflection of the light in the face of the painting. In addition, she points out that the face is impartial to the original painting.

Finally, the reading claims that there was a error in the painting with the color. On the other hand, the lecturer believe that the painting was enlarged by the glue to make the painting large. She thinks that due to the glue ,it make the color difference. Moreover, she feels that the wood used in the painting is same as the original painting.

In conclusion, although the reading and the lecture are both about the woman's painting, the three main point made in the reading are effectively challenged by the lecturer.
