First, the reading mentions that there are inconsistent about the woman in the potrait is dressed. The woman wear a cheap hat while she wear expensive dress. However, the professors refutes this argument by saying that the potrait is repainted by someone to raise its price after hundred years.
Second, according to the reading, Rembrandt made an error error when the painting should have shadow instead reflection because dark fur would rather absorb the light than reflect it. Nevertheless, the lecturer opposes this and give explanation that the woman was wearing light and cloth originally so why the shadow was not appeared.
Third, the professor disputes argument in the reading that says Rembradnt never uses a panel glue together. She argues that Rembrandnt doing so to expand the size of painting to make it more valuable. Also, she cites some researchs that the wood is came from the same tree.
