Reading and lecture have contradict idea about if dinosaurs were endotherm or not. Author expresses three evidences to establish they were endotherm but professor refutes all them and argues against ability of dinosaure to keep their body temperature in a constant level.
First, for refuting of first reading reson that says finding dinosaurs fossils in a cold area such as polar region shows they could conserve their body temperature in a determine degree, professor states when dinosaur went to polar areas those region were warmer than what they are today. She also continues when the polar land weather turned cold dinosaurs migrated to warmer areas.
Second, author says having legs under body is a endotherms characteristics and for dinosaur this allow them to run and have sustain activities. In the lecture professor refutes this and expresses reason of being legs underneath dinosaurs body were to maintain dinosaur wight.
Third, author states Haversian canals in nerves and blood vessels of endothermic animals cause they grow rapid, on the other hand exite of this canals in dinosaur bones show they were endotherm. Professor argues there are growth rings in the bones of dinosaurs that some of them show rapid grow other ring shows slow grows and the rest rings shows no grow according to the their thickness. She states this growth rings show dinosaur were not endotherm animals.
