tpo 11 integrated literature

Essay topics:

tpo 11 integrated literature

The reading passage discusses the fact that people are reading less literature than they did in the past. The lecturer opposes the reading passage and claims that other books are valuable, culture has different sources and authors are to blame for low readership.

First, according to the reading, lack of literature reading can make people have less imagination, less empathy and worse language skills. On the other hand, the professor refutes that by saying books from other areas like science and political analysis are also well written and creative; therefore, they stimulate imagination and are a great source of knowledge.

Even though is true that nowadays people are consuming culture in other forms like on tv, on the internet and on the radio, the professor explains that they are as value as literature. For instance, she believes culture has changed and that are many high intellectual movies and music that are easier to understand and that speaks directly with the person than a novel or poetry. The passage, in contrast, states that contemporary forms of cultural expression are low level and anti-intellectual.

Lastly, the lecturer contradicts the reading when they argue that are great writers this days that are not being red and because of that publishers are investing less assets in literature books. While she agrees that there are a lack of support, she is of the opinion that the authors are to blame, since most of modern literature became difficult to understand.
