In United states "let it burn" was a policy for treatment against forest fires. This policy means that the government let the forests to burn until the fire die out by itself. But in 1988 the huge forest burning caused to damage about 800,000 acres of the Yellowstone natural park. After that the government changed this law and paid attention to the natural forest fires. The three kind of damages can describe as below:
First, the natural vegetation of Yellowstone changed. About on third of the trees and other vegetation had been scorched. But it was a chance for other vegetation to become grow in the land as they freed from the shadows of the tall trees and got a chance to be exposed by sun light.
Second, the wild life in the Yellowstone suffered as a result of forest burning. The flames of the fire burned animal food and also lead to murder of small animals whose could not run away. But it took a chance to animals such as rabbits and hares to get a chance of life without predators.
Third, the local businesses suffered from the forest fire too. They loose the chance of tourist season.
