Both of article and professor discusses the possibily of Peary travel to the north pole. The text represents three reason for supports the authenticity of Peary travel. On the other hand, the lecturer remarks that there are not any solid evidence to back up Peary remarks and expresses the reason which have been mentioned in the passage are not persuasive. So, in the following the reasons will be represented.

Firstly, the professor says the committee which determine the authenticity of Peary remarks were subjective. They were Peary friends which were contributing large money for Peary trips. Besides, their examination last only 2 days. So, it is highly probable which they did not check the records carefully. However, the article contends that the society gathered a committee that was instructed.

Secondly, the lecturer claims there are some issues related to how fast he traveled. the professor says Avery took his food via airplane. Consequently his weight was less than Peary in his trip. Plus the weather in Peary trip was not good. So, their trip cannot last the same. On the other hand, the text provides some information which Avery use the same kind of dogsled and his trip last less than 37 days.

Finally, the professor put forward that the photograph not proves any thing. Because in 100 years ago the cameras were not so precise which we can deduce the position of sun. Plus, photos become blour over time. Therfore, the shadows on the photos cannot determine the exact position of the sun. While, the article mentions the photographs which have been taken by Peary strongly supports his claim.
